Terms of Use

These Terms establish the rules and expectations for using Good Hogar — a welcoming place to discover Latin American culture, recipes, home, lifestyle, and community.

Welcome to Good Hogar.

These Terms of Use establish the rules and expectations for using the Good Hogar website, services, community features, content, and accounts. Good Hogar is designed to be a welcoming place where people can discover Latin American culture, recipes, home inspiration, lifestyle, stories, traditions, and connect with a broader community.

By accessing or using Good Hogar, you agree to follow these Terms of Use. If you do not agree with these Terms, please do not use Good Hogar or create an account.

1.Using Good Hogar

Good Hogar provides a variety of experiences and features that may include articles, recipes, cultural content, lifestyle content, community features, profiles, account functionality, and other services that may be introduced over time.

You agree to use Good Hogar responsibly and in a way that does not interfere with the experience, safety, privacy, or rights of other users. You may not use Good Hogar for unlawful, abusive, fraudulent, threatening, harmful, or otherwise inappropriate purposes.

We want Good Hogar to remain a welcoming environment, and your use of the platform should contribute to that experience.

2.Creating a Good Hogar Account

Certain Good Hogar features may require you to create an account. When creating an account, you agree to provide accurate information and to use the account for yourself. Good Hogar accounts are intended to belong to the individual who created them.

You may not create an account for the purpose of impersonating another person, misleading other users, or circumventing restrictions placed on another account. You are responsible for the activity associated with your account and for using your account in accordance with these Terms.

3.Your Account Belongs to You

Your Good Hogar account is personal to you.

You may not sell, transfer, trade, give away, lease, or otherwise transfer ownership or access to your Good Hogar account to another person. Account transfers are prohibited.

This includes attempting to sell or purchase accounts because of an established username, profile, community reputation, followers, content, or other account-related benefits. If you no longer wish to use your account, you may discontinue using it or contact Good Hogar regarding available account options.

You should not transfer your account to another individual. Good Hogar may take action against accounts that are sold, transferred, traded, or otherwise provided to another person in violation of these Terms.

4.Account Restrictions and Enforcement

Good Hogar may take action when an account violates these Terms of Use, our community standards, or other applicable Good Hogar policies. Depending on the nature and severity of the situation, actions may include:

  • Warnings
  • Removal of specific content
  • Restrictions on certain community features
  • Temporary account limitations
  • Account muting
  • Suspension
  • Permanent account bans
  • Other appropriate enforcement measures

The action taken may depend on the circumstances, severity, frequency, and history of the behavior. Serious violations may result in immediate account restrictions or termination.

5.Community Expectations

Good Hogar is intended to be a respectful community. When participating in our community features, you agree to treat other members with kindness, respect, and basic consideration. You should not intentionally create hostile, disruptive, or harmful situations involving other members.

We expect members to:

  • Treat others respectfully
  • Communicate in good faith
  • Avoid harassment or intimidation
  • Avoid intentionally provoking conflicts
  • Respect reasonable boundaries
  • Avoid targeting individual members
  • Respect differences in opinions and cultures
  • Follow Good Hogar's community rules
  • Use community features responsibly

You do not have to agree with everyone. You do, however, need to treat other members appropriately.

Being part of the Good Hogar community means helping create an environment where people can participate without unnecessary hostility or harassment.

6.Harassment and Harmful Behavior

Good Hogar does not permit behavior intended to harass, threaten, intimidate, humiliate, or deliberately harm another member. This may include repeated unwanted behavior, targeted harassment, personal attacks, threats, bullying, intimidation, or attempts to deliberately cause serious conflict between members.

We may take action when behavior creates an unsafe, hostile, or significantly disruptive community environment. Depending on the circumstances, violations may result in account muting, restrictions, suspension, or a permanent ban.

7.False or Abusive Reporting

Good Hogar provides reporting features so that community members can bring potentially inappropriate behavior or content to our attention. Reports should be submitted honestly and in good faith.

False reporting is not permitted.

You may not intentionally submit false, fabricated, misleading, or abusive reports against another member simply because you dislike them, disagree with them, want to cause problems for them, or want to have their account restricted.

We understand that mistakes can happen. Accidentally reporting something incorrectly is different from intentionally abusing the reporting system. Repeatedly making knowingly false reports or intentionally attempting to misuse our reporting system may result in enforcement action against your own account — including account muting, temporary restrictions, suspension, or, in serious or repeated cases, a permanent account ban.

Our reporting system exists to help protect the community, and we ask members to use it responsibly.

8.Usernames

When creating a username for Good Hogar community access, you are responsible for choosing an appropriate username. Usernames must not contain offensive, hateful, sexually explicit, threatening, excessively vulgar, or otherwise inappropriate words or references.

Good Hogar may restrict certain words, phrases, combinations of characters, or other username formats that we determine are inappropriate for the platform. A username may also be unavailable because it has already been registered by another member.

Someone Already Has Your Username?

Usernames are assigned on a first-come, first-served basis unless otherwise determined by Good Hogar. If your desired username is already being used by another account, please choose an alternative. You can make your desired username unique by adding an additional character, number, or other appropriate variation.

Please do not impersonate another member by creating a username that is intentionally designed to make others believe you are that person.

9.Impersonation

You may not use Good Hogar to impersonate another person, creator, organization, business, or member. This includes using usernames, profile information, photographs, descriptions, or other identifying information in a manner intended to deceive other users about your identity.

Parody, commentary, or clearly distinguishable accounts may be treated differently depending on the circumstances, but users should not intentionally mislead the community about who they are. Good Hogar may restrict or remove accounts that engage in deceptive impersonation.

10.Community Content

Good Hogar may allow members to participate in community experiences or submit content. Depending on the features available, this may include profiles, posts, comments, recommendations, recipes, stories, photographs, videos, or other forms of content. You are responsible for the content you choose to submit or share.

You agree not to submit content that:

  • Violates applicable laws
  • Harasses or threatens another person
  • Contains hateful or abusive material
  • Intentionally deceives others
  • Infringes intellectual property rights
  • Contains others' private information
  • Is excessively violent or graphic
  • Is sexually explicit where prohibited
  • Attempts to scam or manipulate members
  • Attempts to disrupt or damage Good Hogar
  • Otherwise violates Good Hogar policies

Good Hogar may remove content that violates these Terms or other platform policies.

11.Respect for Other Members' Privacy

Good Hogar is a community, but that does not mean everything about a person should be shared publicly. You agree not to intentionally expose, publish, distribute, or use another person's private or sensitive information without appropriate authorization.

This includes information such as private contact information, passwords, financial information, or other information that a reasonable person would expect to remain private. If you believe another member's private information has been improperly shared on Good Hogar, please report it to us.

12.Mature and Age-Restricted Content

Good Hogar aims to maintain a welcoming and generally family-friendly environment. Some articles or experiences may discuss mature subjects, including certain wellness, relationship, sexual health, or intimacy topics. Certain content may therefore be restricted to users who are 18 years of age or older.

Where Good Hogar applies an age restriction, you agree not to intentionally circumvent the restriction or falsely represent your age in order to access restricted content. Good Hogar recommends that users be at least 16 years old when accessing the platform. For additional information about privacy and age-related practices, please refer to our Privacy Policy.

13.Intellectual Property

Good Hogar and its original content, branding, design, logos, graphics, website elements, written materials, and other original materials are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. Unless otherwise stated, you may not copy, reproduce, distribute, modify, republish, sell, or commercially exploit Good Hogar's proprietary materials without appropriate authorization.

Nothing in these Terms gives you ownership of Good Hogar's intellectual property. Likewise, you should not submit content to Good Hogar that you do not have the right to use or share.

14.User Submissions

If Good Hogar allows you to submit content, you retain ownership of the content you own. However, by submitting content to a Good Hogar feature where a license is reasonably necessary to display, distribute, host, or operate that feature, you grant Good Hogar the permissions reasonably necessary to provide that feature.

You represent that you have the appropriate rights to submit the content and that your submission does not knowingly violate another person's rights. Good Hogar may remove submissions that violate these Terms, applicable law, or our other policies.

15.Prohibited Activities

You may not use Good Hogar to:

  • Break applicable laws or regulations
  • Sell or transfer Good Hogar accounts
  • Purchase or acquire another member's account
  • Impersonate another person or organization
  • Harass, threaten, or intimidate members
  • Intentionally create harmful situations
  • Abuse the reporting system
  • Knowingly submit false reports
  • Circumvent an account suspension or ban
  • Gain unauthorized access to another account
  • Interfere with the operation or security
  • Distribute malware or harmful code
  • Conduct scams or fraudulent activities
  • Collect personal information without consent
  • Distribute prohibited or unlawful content
  • Circumvent age restrictions
  • Otherwise misuse the platform

This list is not necessarily exhaustive. Good Hogar may take action against conduct that is inconsistent with the purpose, safety, or integrity of the platform even if a specific behavior is not listed above.

16.Account Muting

Good Hogar may use account muting as a community enforcement tool. Muting may limit an account's ability to participate in certain community interactions or communicate with other members for a period of time.

Muting may be used for violations including, but not limited to, disruptive behavior, harassment, misuse of reporting features, or other conduct that does not meet our community expectations. A mute may be temporary or may remain in place for as long as Good Hogar determines is appropriate based on the circumstances.

17.Account Suspension and Bans

In more serious circumstances, Good Hogar may suspend or permanently ban an account. A permanent ban may prevent the individual from continuing to use certain Good Hogar services or creating replacement accounts for the purpose of circumventing enforcement.

Examples of conduct that may result in a ban include serious or repeated harassment, abusive behavior, account selling or transferring, deliberate misuse of the reporting system, impersonation, fraud, serious violations of community standards, or attempts to circumvent previous enforcement actions. Good Hogar reserves the right to determine the appropriate enforcement action based on the circumstances.

18.Reporting Community Concerns

If you encounter behavior or content that you believe violates Good Hogar's Terms or community standards, please use the reporting tools provided by the platform when available. Reports should be specific, honest, and submitted in good faith.

Please do not use reporting tools as a way to retaliate against another member or attempt to have an account punished simply because you disagree with that person. Our goal is to use reports to identify genuine community concerns and protect the overall experience.

19.Changes to Good Hogar

Good Hogar is continuously developing. We may introduce new features, modify existing features, discontinue certain services, or make other changes to the platform. Features may change over time, and certain features may not always be available.

We may also update these Terms of Use when necessary to reflect changes to Good Hogar, our services, applicable laws, or our policies. When we make significant changes, we may provide additional notice where appropriate.

20.Termination

You may stop using Good Hogar at any time. Good Hogar may restrict, suspend, or terminate access to an account when we reasonably determine that an account has violated these Terms, other Good Hogar policies, or applicable law.

We may also take action when necessary to protect the security, integrity, or community of Good Hogar. Termination or suspension does not necessarily eliminate obligations that arose before the account was restricted or terminated.

21.No Guarantee of Continuous Availability

We work to keep Good Hogar available and functioning properly, but we cannot guarantee that the platform will always be available without interruption. Good Hogar may occasionally experience maintenance, technical difficulties, outages, updates, or other interruptions. We may also modify or temporarily disable certain features when necessary.

22.Disclaimer

Good Hogar is provided on an ongoing basis as a platform for lifestyle, cultural, community, and informational experiences. While we work to provide accurate, reliable, and enjoyable content, we do not guarantee that every piece of information available through the platform will always be complete, current, or error-free.

Users should exercise their own judgment when relying on information available through Good Hogar. Good Hogar is not responsible for the independent actions, statements, or content of individual community members.

23.Limitation of Responsibility

To the extent permitted by applicable law, Good Hogar is not responsible for losses or damages arising from circumstances outside our reasonable control, interruptions to the platform, third-party services, user-generated content, or interactions between individual members.

Nothing in these Terms is intended to exclude or limit rights or protections that cannot legally be excluded or limited under applicable law.

24.Contact Us

Our Community Promise

Good Hogar is meant to be a place where people can discover something new, share experiences, enjoy culture, and connect with others. That experience depends on everyone doing their part.

We ask you to be kind. We ask you to be respectful. We ask you to use our community and reporting tools responsibly. We ask you not to sell or transfer your account. We ask you to choose usernames that are appropriate for the community. And when something goes wrong, we ask that you approach the situation honestly rather than intentionally making it worse.

We may not always agree with one another. That's okay. A healthy community can have different opinions, personalities, cultures, interests, and perspectives. What matters is how we treat one another.

Good Hogar is a place to feel at home. Help us keep it that way.
